Comque vidisset deus terran esse corruptam omnis
Quippe caro corruperat viam suam super terram
Fac tibi arcam de lignis levigatis mansiunculas
In arca facies et bitumine linies intrinsecus et extrinsecus

Et ex cunctis animantibus universe carnis bina indu-

Had corrupted his way upon the earth.
"make thee an ark of gopher wood;
Rooms shall thou make in the ark,
And shall pitch it within and without with
Pitch"
...the earth was corrupt before god.
"of every living thing of all flesh,
Two of even sort shall thou bring
Into the ark
To keep them alive
